Making the riverĀ an active part of the city

Doing this will provide multi-modal (different ways of getting around) access to, from, and across the river. It'll also create opportunities to see and interact with the river through recreation, play, leisure activities and new homes. Making the river an active part of the city will extend the natural character of the river environment into Te Awa Kairangi ki Tai - Lower Hutt city.
