What will you do to restore the environment?

Conditions proposed and those that will ultimately be imposed by the Environment Court formalise the mitigation requirements and will result in environmental, landscape and amenity outcomes that overall will exceed the pre-construction situation. Replacement edge, berm and landscape vegetation, including native species planting, will exceed the extent and quality of current river edge planting. A subset of this work has already commenced on the right bank below Belmont School. In the medium term the habitat for birds will be substantially improved following completion of the project and establishment of proposed vegetation.
